Advantages of Our Research Group:

  • Sufficient Computing Resources and Guidance: Our research group is newly established. So we have sufficient computing resources and startup funding to support your research. Additionally, with a smaller team currently, each member receives comprehensive guidance and support from the supervisor. We ensure hands-on mentorship for every new group member, assisting them in reading papers, debugging, and writing research articles. We are committed to throughly revising each student’s first research paper.
  • Industry-Relevant Research Topics: The research topics in our group are closely aligned with problems of interest to the industry. For students aiming to pursue careers in the industry, such research experience will provide a significant advantage. Our group encourages students who meet the graduation requirements to undertake research-based internships in companies. We have established collaborations with top companies like ByteDance, Huawei, Baidu, and SenseTime. Outstanding graduates may also receive recommendations to these companies or for doctoral/postdoctoral opportunities at institutions such as the University of Hong Kong, CUHK, the University of Sydney, and Shanghai AI Lab.

  • Expectations for Prospective Students:
  • Strong Self-Motivation: We provide abundant guidance and research resources to all members, and we hope each student can fully leverage these resources with strong self-motivation to deliver high-impact scientific contributions.
  • Early Engagement in Research: For students intending to join the group, after securing postgraduate recommendations or admissions, you are welcome to start working on your undergraduate thesis and other research projects in your fourth year. This early strat to your research will greatly benefit your future development. Research papers published during this period can count toward the output requirements for graduate school.
  • Robust Self-Learning and Programming Skills: Students joining the group are expected to be proficient in Python, PyTorch, and basic Linux operations, with considerable programming experience. The following experiences are highly valued and will serve as significant advantages: participation and awards in ACM competitions, in-depth involvement in website development, program design, or open-source projects, and long-term, valuable knowledge sharing in professional fields.
